digital LYSO 3–5 ring PET/CT
Refurbished GE Discovery MI 64 PET/CT (LYSO) — GE Healthcare's digital silicon-photomultiplier PET/CT, the first GE platform to replace photomultiplier tubes with SiPM-based LightBurst LYSO detectors. Available in modular 3-, 4-, or 5-ring configurations on a 64-slice Revolution-class CT base, with full Time-of-Flight and Q.Clear (BSREM) reconstruction. The digital detector chain dramatically improves timing resolution, small-lesion conspicuity, and quantitative SUV repeatability — making the Discovery MI the GE platform of choice for theranostics workflow (177Lu, 225Ac, 68Ga), oncology drug-trial imaging, low-dose pediatric PET, and academic/research programs. Compared to a Discovery 710, the MI brings a fundamentally newer detector technology and meaningfully better quantitation. Compared to the newer Omni Legend, it gives up some axial-coverage and TOF physics but lands at a more accessible price point. MIS handles sourcing, refurbishment, deinstall, transport, install, applications training, parts inventory (including LYSO/SiPM module support), and engineer-led service.
